ANDREW HAMBLIN
ABOUT ME
My name is Andrew, I'm a reliable and hard-working person who loves to voice act. I'm always creative, full of ideas and enjoy video games.
From an early age, I have always been mimicking voices off cartoons, films and video games. As the years went by, I discovered I had a natural talent for voice over and since then, I have broadened and strengthened my range.
I can do a wide range of voices, including my own original voices and plenty of impressions too (e.g. Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Billy Crystal, Tom Hanks and more) as well as voice creatures and sfx using my vocals.
I did drama at high school and received an achievement for best performer. In 2008, I did some training with The VoiceOver Workshop at The Show Reel in London.
In 2009 I was tutored by voice actor James Arnold Taylor. He helped me strengthen my vocal talents, understand voice over and helped me on how to put reels together. This lead me to getting a voice agent in 2010.
In 2012, I premiered my voiceover reels at the London Animation Club, where I was met with fantastic reception.
Then In 2013, I got a voice part for the Video Game "Oddworld Abe's Oddysee New N Tasty" providing the voice of Mudokon slaves, it was released on all platforms.
In the same year I produced my first Animated TV show pilot called "Learning with Pixie & Tim" an educational children's cartoon that is currently going through many new changes.
In 2014/2015 I voiced for an animated Feature film with Paramount Pictures titled "Capture the Flag" where I voiced Bill Gags and many other additional voices throughout the film, it was released in cinemas January 29th 2016
In the same year I joined Radio Harrow where I presented and produced many shows over the years on Thursdays, As of now since 2019 I am the studio manager for the Thursday Night Team and we continue to entertain. I also won a Jack Petchey Award for "Outstanding achievement" for my work at the radio station.
And I was also hired for many Illustrations / character designing in all sorts of styles such as the "On your marks" book which was released in Waterstones in 2015.
In 2017 I joined the Radio Harrow house band the volunteers where I would be singing a few lead songs, provide backing vocals and even performed a cover of Rainbow Connection while puppeteering a Kermit puppet live on stage in his voice. we would sing for many events.
Also in that same year I decided to give directing a shot and produced my first short film "Lovesick" through my new and upcoming production team "Fuddy Duddy Productions". It will finally its public debut sometime in 2022. The reception from the 2018 screenings have been very positive that it has lead to a sequel in the works called "Lovestruck" which was filmed in 2019 with its screening aiming for an August 2022 release.
2020 onwards -
I won an award for "Best Actor" at the Horrors4You film festival 2020 for my role of Caleb in the short film "Leash" as well as continue to voice and act in many exciting projects.
I am currently working on an animated short based on my own original characters that I created way back in 2010 and have been hired to Direct and act in someones upcoming Web-series with production starting April 2022 as well as finished producing my first children's book which I will be looking for a publisher soon.
